AL Prepster: End of Summer Blues... or Celebration?

The worst part of hitting August for me isn't about the heat. Instead, I realize that summer is coming to an end, and when summer ends, school starts. Ew. However, there are a few perks of entering August. Of course there's my dad's birthday, which means mine will be coming up soon too (September!), but most importantly comes the word we love to hear: SALE! All of your favorite department stores, brands, boutiques, anywhere that sells anything to do with fashion, I can almost guarantee they're going to have an end of summer sale. They have to make room for the fall collection and get rid of their summer lines. You, my friend, must take advantage of this opportunity. Stock up! Here in the South, summer doesn't end until about October, so I recently purchased a Vineyard Vines bathing suit on sale with an additional 40% off! (Basically, I paid $20 for something that was $60). For one, bathing suits don't go out of style, plus I can still wear it for the next two months. Denim never goes out of style! The same goes with clothing, jewelry, etc. Yes, some things are trendy just for this past season, but 90% of the time you can buy something on sale, and you will be able to wear it again. Especially dresses and tops. You can accessorize to adjust to the style or trends of the season. Anyways, hurry up and buy the sale items before they're out of stock and gone forever!
